Uzbekistan, Germany sign agreement
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan and Germanys signed an inter-governmental agreement on technical cooperation for implementation of a project “Land use on the basis of the ecosystem approach and the conservation of ecosystems in the lower reaches of the Amu Darya River” on 31 December 2016.
According to the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, the agreement was inked in Tashkent.
Within the document, the Government of Germany will provide technical assistance to Uzbekistan to realization of above mention project.
The project is aimed at contributing to protection of climate and sustainable development of Uzbekistan via assistance to measures on adaptation to climate change consequences.
The agreement came into effect from 31 December 2016.
