Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 17 February, Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Makhkamov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany Tilo Klinner.

At the meeting, the current state and prospects for the further development of transport and logistics links between our countries were discussed.

Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov said that in order to develop the logistics industry of our country, relevant work is underway to establish cooperation with the German company DB Shenker.

At the same time, it was noted that in order to consider the issue of creating more favorable conditions for carriers in the field of international freight transport by road, increasing quotas for international permit forms, the ministries of transport of Uzbekistan and Germany are considering holding a meeting of the Joint Commission on international road transport.

It was also noted that Uzbekistan Airports is actively cooperating with the company "Fraport" to train and improve the skills of specialists in the field of airport services in Germany.

During the meeting, the parties noted the huge potential for further development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany in the field of transport and logistics and the readiness to mobilize all efforts in this direction.
