Uzbekistan, France expand relations in textile and fashion industries

Jahon news agency reported that the Uzbek delegation participated at the General Assembly of the Union of Textile Industry of France, which was attended by over 150 representatives of textile industry.

At the session, the fruitful negotiations with representatives of French Association of Textile Equipment Producers, French Federation of Wool and Cotton Industry and several textile companies were held.

The delegation also visited Épinal city, which hosted an Uzbek-French cooperation exchange and presentation of textile industry of Uzbekistan. The participants received information on economic reforms in Uzbekistan, guarantees and preferences provided to foreign investors.

The Uzbek delegation visited French Federation of Men’s clothes, French Fashion Institute, Higher School Académie Internationale de Coupe de Paris and French Federation of Ready Women’s Clothers.

Information on textile industry of Uzbekistan, activities of Tashkent Textile and Light Industry Institute, Uzbekistan Modelers Association, Art Week Style.uz attracted interest of representatives of French fashion industry.

At the meeting, the French businesses expressed interest in developing cooperation with the Uzbek partners, including purchase of cotton fibre and yarn on direct agreements.
