Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 18 March, a strategic partnership agreement was signed in Tashkent between the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA), the Uzbekistan Professional Football League (PFLUz), and the national payment system UZCARD.

The agreement aims to support and develop Uzbek football, from professional leagues to youth academies and regional clubs.

Football in Uzbekistan has long transcended the realm of sports, becoming an integral part of public life and a unifying force across generations and social groups. For UZCARD, Uzbekistan’s leading fintech company, supporting football is a strategic investment in the country's future, fostering the development of sports infrastructure and creating opportunities for young talents.

Through our partnership with UFA and PFLUz, we aim to strengthen Uzbekistan’s sporting traditions and create new opportunities for athletes," said David Melekidze, CEO of UCMG.

Under the agreement, UZCARD will serve as the general sponsor of the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) until 2027 and as the official partner of the Uzbekistan Professional Football League (PFLUz) for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. The sponsorship will cover support for the national team, the Super Cup, and all levels of league activities in Uzbekistan.

UZCARD, the Unified National Processing Center, integrates 35 commercial banks and 33 payment aggregators, ensuring seamless acquiring, processing, and digital transactions across the country.
