Uzbekistan expresses condolences to Turkey following Ankara blast

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 October 2015 at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Tashkent on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan an entry has been made in the condolences book opened in connection with the announced three days of mourning in Turkey on numerous casualties of terrorist attack in Ankara on 10 October.

Ambassador Namik Güner Erpul for his part expressed his sincere appreciation for the words of support and sympathy of President Islam Karimov in his letter to the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Two devastating explosions struck Saturday morning in the heart of Ankara, the Turkish capital, during peace rally.

According to Turkish police, the explosions were carried out by suicide bombers in the area of the railway station under the overpass. The people were gathering to the peace rally.

At least 95 people were killed and 60 were wounded in the result of the accident. About 60 people are in intensive care unit.
