Uzbekistan expresses condolences to Germany over death of Schmidt

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, representatives of foreign political body of Uzbekistan visited the Embassy of Germany in Tashkent on 13 November.

The Uzbek officials made records at the Condolences Book, opened at the Embassy of Germany in Tashkent, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, expressing condolences and sorrow in connection with the death of former German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt.

Helmut Schmidt, the West German chancellor from 1974 to 1982 and one of Germany’s most respected postwar politicians, has died at the age of 96 on Tuesday.
