Uzbekistan Exports US$630 Million Worth of Natural Gas to China in First Nine Months of 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to September 2025, Uzbekistan exported natural gas to China totaling US$629.9 million, according to China’s General Administration of Customs.

The country continues to be a consistent supplier of pipeline gas to the largest Asian market. Although Uzbekistan’s export volumes are lower than those of Russia and Turkmenistan, their economic significance for Uzbekistan remains steadily increasing.

Leading suppliers of natural gas to China include Russia, with exports reaching US$7.29 billion over the nine-month period, followed by Turkmenistan, which saw a 12.7% decline to US$6.46 billion. Other exporters are Myanmar (US$1.18 billion) and Kazakhstan (US$854.7 million).
