Uzbekistan exports gold worth US$3.42 billion in 4 months

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-April 2024, Uzbekistan exported gold worth more than US$3.42 billion, according to the Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan.

Compared to the same period in 2023, the volume of precious metal exports increased by 11.82%.

In April, Uzbekistan exported gold worth US$758.3 million.

The share of gold in the total exports of Uzbekistan in January-April 2024 amounted to 40.3%, while in January-April 2023 it was 39.3%.

In general, in 2023, Uzbekistan sold gold worth US$8.1 billion, which is almost double the figures for 2022.
