Uzbekistan exports 90,800 automobiles in 2013

Last year, the enterprises of the industry produced goods for about 7.5 trillion soums, which grew by 21.8% year-on-year, Uzavtosanat said.

The sector produced 246,600 automobiles, 3,500 ISUZU buses and cargoes, MAN trucks – 1,200 units and automobile engines – 122,900 units.

As of 1 January 2014, some 24 enterprises of industry have certificates of quality management system ISO 9001:2008 and their share in total number of enterprises makes up 90.1%.

The exports of cars reached 90,800 cars. Some 14 enterprises of industry exported their spare parts abroad. Uzbek machinery products are highly demanded in Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Turkmanistan.
