Uzbekistan exports 1.8 million square meters of carpets in first quarter of 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to the National Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan exported a total of 1.8 million square meters of carpets from January to March 2025.

The total value of exported carpet products exceeded US$5.4 million.

During the reporting period, the main export destinations for Uzbek carpets were as follows:

Azerbaijan – 577,000 sq. m
Kyrgyz Republic – 457,000 sq. m
Afghanistan – 300,000 sq. m
Russian Federation – 275,000 sq. m
Kazakhstan – 191,000 sq. m
Other countries – 23,000 sq. m

These export figures reflect sustained international interest in Uzbekistan’s carpet-weaving industry and underscore the sector’s growing engagement in foreign trade.
