Uzbekistan Exports 17,000 Tons of Tomatoes Abroad
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the first five months of 2025, Uzbekistan exported 17.1 thousand tons of tomatoes worth US$17.1 million, according to data released by the National Statistics Committee.
Russia remained the primary export destination, receiving 14 thousand tons of Uzbek tomatoes.
Kazakhstan ranked second with 1.6 thousand tons, followed by the Kyrgyz Republic, which imported 1.4 thousand tons.
Additional exports included 120 tons to the United Arab Emirates, 18 tons to Tajikistan, and 23 tons to other countries.
These figures reaffirm Russia’s position as the largest market for Uzbek tomatoes and underscore the strong export potential of Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector.
