Uzbekistan explores prospects for joint projects with Intertek in product certification
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 16 April, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Akram Aliyev held a meeting with Jeremy Gaspar, Vice President of the British company Intertek. Intertek is one of the world’s leading providers of certification, inspection, and product conformity assessment services.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for joint projects in the field of technical regulation, including a project focused on certifying Uzbekistan’s agricultural, textile, and chemical products. The initiative aims to increase export volumes to markets in Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and China, as well as to enhance the national conformity assessment system and implement the Eco-Levy environmental control program.
Both sides expressed mutual interest in deepening cooperation, which is expected to boost the competitiveness of Uzbek products and support their successful entry into international markets.
