Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  A delegation from the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan visited the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan to study Azerbaijan’s experience in tax administration and taxation.

During the meeting, both parties highlighted the strong level of cooperation between the two countries and the deepening of bilateral economic ties. Discussions covered a wide range of topics, including measures to combat the shadow economy, improving tax legislation, and priority areas for advancing tax administration.

The Uzbek delegation showed particular interest in Azerbaijan’s approach to VAT administration. Over the course of a three-day visit, the delegation will examine the mechanisms of VAT deposit accounts, tax refund systems, and recent legislative changes governing these areas.

At the conclusion of the meeting, it was emphasized that business contacts and experience exchange contribute to strengthening mutual cooperation and help develop joint solutions for effective tax management in both countries.
