Uzbekistan Expands Economic Cooperation with China: Representative Office Opened in Guangdong Province

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from the National Association for Economic Cooperation of Uzbekistan, accompanied by a group of women entrepreneurs, conducted a working visit to the Chinese cities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Foshan, according to Dunyo news agency.

During the visit, economic forums and roundtable discussions were organized with the participation of Chinese partner associations and companies, including the China–Uzbekistan Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference and the Uzbekistan–China Economic Exchange. These events were aimed at expanding trade and economic ties and developing business contacts between the entrepreneurial communities of both countries.

To promote export-oriented products from Uzbek manufacturers, a meeting was held with representatives of Overseas Prominent Brand (OPB). As a result, an agreement was reached to broadly feature products from Funksional Oziq-Ovqatlar Kombinati LLC, XBS Meyve Interprice LLC, and several other domestic enterprises on both OPB’s online and offline platforms.

For major importing companies in Guangdong Province, a presentation was conducted showcasing high-quality confectionery and sweet products, semi-finished goods, and processed agricultural products produced in Uzbekistan.

Following the business program, a representative office of the National Association for Economic Cooperation of Uzbekistan was officially opened in Guangdong Province.

Additionally, cooperation agreements were signed with the Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce and Guangdong Dongzao Investment Management, creating new opportunities to expand mutual trade and implement joint investment projects.
