Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Kashkadarya region completed a working visit to the Vitebsk region from 11 to 13 March to strengthen agricultural cooperation.
During the trip, the delegation visited agricultural enterprises in Vitebsk city and the Vitebsk, Glubokoye, Ushachi, and Sharkovshchina districts, reviewing operations and production capacities.
Shahrier Khamzaev noted that the visit aimed to enhance collaboration in food security. He highlighted the high international reputation of Vitebsk products and expressed interest in importing meat, meat products, milk, and powdered milk, while offering Uzbek fruit and vegetable exports, including dried fruits, watermelons, and melons.

Discussions are also underway to establish beef production facilities in Vitebsk, particularly in Glubokoye district, with potential herd expansion from 1,000 to 10,000 heads.
Uzbekistan also expressed interest in broader cooperation, planning to export fruit and vegetables to Vitebsk, while Belarus would supply baby food to Uzbekistan.
“There are many avenues for cooperation, and we are ready to further deepen relations with the Vitebsk region,” Khamzaev said, stressing the strategic importance of mutual product exchange for strengthening trade and economic ties between the two countries.
