Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 March 2022, 245 citizens of Uzbekistan, including 35 women, 20 children and 3 infants, were returned from Ukraine through the airport in Katowice (Poland). This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
In the period from 28 February to 10 March, 23 flights took place. 5,282 compatriots were taken out of the combat zone, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
94 citizens of our country, who were on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, crossed the Moldovan-Romanian border, accompanied by Uzbek diplomats. They are planned to be evacuated from the Bucharest airport by a special flight.
