Uzbekistan Emergency Services Evacuate Citizens Stranded in Snowstorm in Jizzakh Region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On the night of 24–25 January, the Jizzakh Regional Emergency Situations Department received reports that several vehicles were immobilized on the road passing through the mahalla “Koraobdol Ota” in Forish district due to strong winds and a snowstorm.

Drivers and passengers found themselves in a difficult situation.

Rescue units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) were immediately dispatched to the scene.

Using specialized equipment, emergency personnel provided assistance to citizens whose vehicles were blocked by adverse weather conditions and evacuated them to a safe area.

No casualties were reported, and the situation was quickly brought under control.
