Uzbekistan Embassy Issues Emergency Security Protocols for Citizens in Israel

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Israel has issued an urgent security directive to its citizens following the declaration of a nationwide state of emergency effective through March 12. Amid the escalating regional conflict, diplomatic officials are calling for heightened vigilance and strict adherence to local safety mandates.

The Embassy underscored that upon hearing air raid sirens, individuals must immediately seek cover in the nearest bomb shelter or fortified "safe room." Citizens are strictly prohibited from filming rocket impact sites or the operation of air defense systems, such as the Iron Dome. Such actions are not only life-threatening but may result in severe legal penalties under Israeli emergency regulations.

Furthermore, the public is warned against approaching or touching missile debris or suspicious objects, which may contain unexploded ordnance. In such events, residents are advised to maintain a safe distance and immediately notify local security services. For administrative or labor-related inquiries, foreign workers may contact the Israeli Population and Immigration Authority’s dedicated call center.

For those seeking to return to Uzbekistan, the Embassy has identified the Taba/Begin border crossing into Egypt as a primary overland departure point. Citizens are urged to verify the validity of their travel documents before attempting the journey.

From the Taba crossing, travelers can secure ground transportation to Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport. Direct and connecting flights to Uzbekistan are currently serviced by multiple carriers, including Uzbekistan Airways, Centrum Air, Qanot Sharq, and Air Samarkand.

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tel Aviv remains operational for emergency consular assistance via its 24-hour hotline and official Telegram channel, "KONSULLIK XIZMATI." Officials emphasized that the safety of Uzbek nationals is the absolute priority and urged the community to rely exclusively on verified government information.
