Uzbekistan dominates in juice market of Kazakhstan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan continues to dominate on the volume of supply of fruit and vegetable fruits to the market of Kazakhstan, according to official statistics.

From July to August 2013, Uzbekistan shipped 1,400 tonnes of juices to Kazakhstan, which rose three times compared to the first two months of last season. Fruit-inform.com said that this is absolute record for the period.

Share of Uzbekistan in the market of imported juices in Kazakhstan was 33%. In 2012/13 season, Uzbekistan topped the rating of fruit and vegetables juice suppliers to Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan purchased 9,400 tonnes of juice from Uzbekistan last season. Uzbekistan’s share in the Kazakh juice market made up about 30% last season.
