Uzbekistan discusses new inclusivity and child protection program for 2026–2030
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A dialogue was held to discuss the UNICEF and Government of Uzbekistan's program aimed at fostering favorable conditions and social inclusivity for children from 2026 to 2030.
UNICEF actively collaborates with the country’s authorities to ensure the full realization and protection of children's rights. Thanks to the organization’s support, numerous legislative acts, strategic documents, and programs focused on child welfare have been developed and revised in Uzbekistan.
The UNICEF office in Uzbekistan plays a crucial role in this process, serving as one of the key partners of the Children's Ombudsman. Through this partnership, joint initiatives are being implemented to safeguard children's interests and establish effective mechanisms for protecting their rights.
The presentation of the 2026–2030 program highlighted its core objective: to create an inclusive legal and policy environment by 2030 that guarantees the protection of children, adolescents, and their families.
To achieve this, the program envisions the introduction of modern monitoring systems, enhanced accountability, an expanded range of high-quality social services, increased resilience to climate change, and stable financial support.
The implementation of this program marks a significant step toward building a comprehensive social support system aimed at protecting children's interests and improving their living conditions in Uzbekistan.
