Uzbekistan Discusses Improving Quality and Safety of Textile Products with German

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held in Tashkent with representatives of the German company Hohenstein Laboratories GmbH & Co. KG to discuss enhancing the investment appeal and competitiveness of Uzbekistan’s textile and garment-knitting industry, expanding the sector’s export potential, and promoting domestic products in international markets.

Specialists from the state institution “Uzbek Scientific Testing and Quality Control Center” (UzTest) also participated in the event.

During the discussions, the parties explored possibilities for testing textile and garment-knitting products for quality and safety standards, as well as measures to improve personnel qualifications. The guests were introduced to UzTest’s light industry testing laboratory, evaluating its capabilities and potential for joint work.

Hohenstein Laboratories GmbH & Co. KG, based in Bönnigheim, Germany, is an international laboratory and research center specializing in textile product testing, certification, and scientific research. The company is a key partner of the OEKO-TEX certification system, which confirms the absence of harmful substances in products and ensures their ecological safety.
