Uzbekistan Discusses GCC Investments and Business Climate
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 April, the Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, met with executives from leading companies in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and their international partners.
The meeting focused on addressing operational challenges faced by investors in the local market. Participants included representatives from major corporations such as ACWA Power, Masdar, Vision Invest, DataVolt, Saudi Tabreed, TAQA WS, Metito Utilities, and others.
Discussions covered current joint initiatives, tax incentives, and improvements in public-private partnership mechanisms. Financial and economic performance of ongoing projects was reviewed, and measures to optimize the regulatory environment for greater efficiency were outlined.
Special attention was given to the development of technical and transport infrastructure. Urban planning regulations and integration of new capacities into existing networks were examined to ensure stable execution of investment projects across the capital and regional areas.
Following the meeting, working groups were established, and steps were defined to amend legislation aimed at enhancing Uzbekistan’s investment climate.
