Uzbekistan Discusses Economy Decarbonization Projects with Acta Climate

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 4 December, Akram Aliev, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with representatives of the European climate company Acta Climate Solutions.

During the discussions, the parties explored prospects for cooperation in decarbonizing the economy, enhancing environmental sustainability, and implementing modern forest management practices.

They exchanged views on restoring natural landscapes, strengthening forestry capabilities, and implementing long-term nature-based solutions aimed at carbon sequestration and climate adaptation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, an agreement was reached to further develop potential forms of collaboration, including coordination with relevant ministries and agencies and identifying priority areas for subsequent joint work.
