Uzbekistan Discusses Development of Scientific and Technical Cooperation in Agriculture with Poland and Czech Republic

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the 18th Berlin Conference of Agriculture Ministers, Uzbekistan held a series of bilateral meetings with representatives from Poland and the Czech Republic aimed at expanding cooperation in the agricultural sector.

Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Alisher Shukurov, discussed prospects for joint projects in education, science, and research with Poland’s Secretary of State Jacek Cierniak and Czech Deputy Minister of Agriculture Jindřich Fiala.

The parties emphasized the importance of combining scientific potential to implement modern solutions in practice. Particular attention was given to the adoption of digital technologies and the “smart agriculture” concept, the improvement of veterinary and quarantine systems, and ensuring that products meet international standards.

Discussions also covered the exchange of innovative experience and the development of agricultural export and import processes.

At the conclusion of the meetings, the participants highlighted their significance as a practical step toward strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation and expanding the scope of joint projects in the future.
