Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the initiative of the "Uzeltekhsanoat" Association, working meetings were held at the facilities of Uzkabel JSC and Procab JV LLC with Mr. Wu Hao, representative of Dongfang Electric Corporation for CIS countries.

Dongfang Electric Corporation is a globally recognized enterprise specializing in the construction of energy infrastructure and serving as a general contractor for major international investors such as Masdar, ACWA Power, China Datang, China Huadian Overseas, and others.

The meetings focused on both current and upcoming Dongfang Electric projects in Uzbekistan, including:

the construction of a 320 MW solar power plant in Bekabad District, Tashkent Region;

a 300 MW solar power project in Guzar District, Kashkadarya Region;

a 150 MW energy storage system in Alat District, Bukhara Region;

long-term plans for developing wind and hydropower stations across the country.

Special emphasis was placed on localizing production and establishing partnerships with Uzbek manufacturers of electric cable products for use in these projects. This approach is expected to reduce costs and delivery times, while increasing domestic participation in the implementation of large-scale infrastructure initiatives.

The parties exchanged views on product specifications, certification procedures, logistics, and engineering support. Both sides expressed strong interest in building a long-term and mutually beneficial partnership.

The development of such strategic collaborations opens new opportunities for Uzbekistan’s electrical industry and promotes deeper integration of local enterprises into global energy supply chains.
