Uzbekistan Delegation Visits Iskra-Volga Technopark in Tatarstan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 1 April, a delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Energy Minister Jurabek Mirzamahmudov, visited the Iskra-Volga Technopark in Tatarstan.
The delegation included Abdumalik Nazirov, Chairman of the National Electric Grids of Uzbekistan; Hamidullo Shamsiev, Director of the Coordination and Dispatch Center “Energia”; Muzaffar Boboev, Director of the National Dispatch Center; as well as representatives from the Ministry of Energy and the country’s electric grid sector.
During the visit, guests were introduced to the technopark’s production and testing facilities, as well as technological solutions developed by resident companies for the energy, transport, and urban infrastructure sectors.
Iskra-Volga operates as a full-cycle industrial and technological platform, integrating production buildings, an engineering center, scientific laboratories, and a prototyping center. This setup allows residents to develop projects from initial design and testing to serial production.
Minister Mirzamahmudov highlighted the high level of expertise among the technopark’s residents, its integrated development approach, and innovative technological solutions.
“What stands out is the mobility, compactness, and speed of operations. We see strong potential for further collaboration, and our specialists will work closely with colleagues in Tatarstan,” he noted.
The program included visits to enterprises within the energy and electrical engineering cluster, including SKAT, Promenergo, the Iskra-Volga Research and Testing Center, E-PROM, and ElektroOptima. The delegation examined the production of cable fittings, metering devices, EV charging infrastructure, switchgear and substation equipment, as well as the technopark’s testing capabilities.
The visit confirmed interest in Iskra-Volga as a platform for professional dialogue and industrial cooperation. The technopark showcases operational production chains, testing infrastructure, and applied solutions across the energy sector and related industries.
Iskra-Volga brings together leading Russian energy and electrical engineering companies into a single full-cycle ecosystem. Its infrastructure provides enterprises, startups, and electronics manufacturers access to modern equipment and engineering expertise, supporting rapid commercialization of domestic technologies and federal-scale projects.
