Uzbekistan Declares November “Tourism Month for Seniors”

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 1 to 30 November 2025, Uzbekistan will host the “Tourism Month for Seniors” initiative.

The program aims to support the older generation, encourage active recreation, and promote domestic tourism. As part of the campaign, significant discounts will be offered on accommodation, transportation, and visits to museums and cultural heritage sites.

Across all regions, hotels and other lodging facilities will provide seniors with discounts of up to 20 percent.

The national airline, Uzbekistan Airways, announced a 15-percent discount on economy-class tickets for men over 60 and women over 55. This offer applies to all domestic flights throughout November.

Uzbekistan Railways has also joined the initiative, offering a 20-percent discount on fares for domestic routes, excluding the Afrosiyob high-speed trains.

Additionally, seniors will be able to purchase tickets with up to a 10-percent discount for visits to state museums and monuments under the Agency of Cultural Heritage, and up to a 20-percent discount at pilgrimage sites managed by the Charitable Public Fund “Waqf.”

The activities within the “Tourism Month for Seniors” are designed to foster inclusive and socially oriented tourism, create comfortable conditions for travel and recreation, and strengthen the active participation of older citizens in public life.
