Uzbekistan cuts exports of raisins to Kazakhstan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan decreased exports of raisins from 12,000 tonnes in 2011/2012 season to 3,800 tonnes in 2012/2013 season.
Despite sharp fall of raisins exports, Uzbekistan is still the largest supplier of raisins to Kazakhstan. Uzbekistan’s share in Kazakh raisins market makes up over 50%,
Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan also supplied raisins to the market of Kazakhstan in 2012/2013 season.
