Uzbekistan creates Uzbekipaksanoat Association

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On measures on organization of the activities of Uzbekipaksanoat Association”.

According to the resolution, the Association will unite five regional companies, created at participation of the commercial banks. The regional companies will develop silk industry and coordinate efforts on development of silk industry.

It is also planned to create territorial and district enterprises Agropilla, which will provide grains to organizations and people, producing silk.

Uzbekipaksanoat Association will improve forage base of silk industry in cooperation with the state bodies. It will develop resource base for developing silk industry and realizing products in internal and external markets.

The resolution said special attention will be paid to production of grain and cocoons, production of high quality of silk, as well as realization of programmmes on developing silk industry, realization of single scientific-technical, technological, investment and export policies.

Uzbek President created a working group on developing proposals on improving silk industry, introducing quality management system, design of products, their certification, training specialists. The group will develop the programme on further complex development of silk industry for 2017-2021.

The resolution also provides tax preferences to organizations for organizations, producing cocoons, and customs preferences for imported material-technical resources.
