Uzbekistan Consulate in Istanbul Oversees Investigation into the Deaths of Sayyora Ergashalieva and Durdona Hakimova

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Istanbul held a meeting with D. Turdimurotov and G. Kamolkhodjaev, accused of involvement in the deaths of Sayyora Ergashalieva and Durdona Hakimova, at a correctional facility.

To ensure a fair legal process, the consulate, together with the public organization “Protection of Uzbek Women’s Rights,” is taking all necessary measures to monitor the progress of the investigation. The criminal case, initiated in connection with the crime, remains under the consulate’s constant supervision.

Additionally, in coordination with the organization “Protection of Uzbek Women’s Rights,” the consulate provided full consular and legal support to the parents of S. Ergashalieva and facilitated their return to Uzbekistan. These actions aim to protect citizens’ rights and ensure justice in the investigation of this tragic incident.
