Uzbekistan Concludes Family Challenge “Healthy Start with Nestlé. Healthy Kids”
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The family challenge “Healthy Start with Nestlé. Healthy Kids” concluded in Uzbekistan, running from 22 September to 31 October as part of the educational program “Health Routes.”
The initiative brought together children aged 7–13, teachers, and parents, promoting healthy eating habits, physical activity, and raising awareness about environmental issues.
The project was implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan and the Republican Education Center. To announce the results, an international telebridge was held on 28 November, connecting schoolchildren from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan. In Tashkent, the event took place at School No. 101, which actively participated in the Challenge.
Sergey Lysiuk, CEO of Nestlé in Uzbekistan, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering a culture of healthy living: “Initiatives like the ‘Healthy Start with Nestlé. Healthy Kids’ Challenge turn knowledge into real action. This is an example of how collaboration between schools, parents, and businesses can lead to positive change.”
During the Challenge, participants completed four thematic stages, each lasting ten days. Children and their families carried out tasks related to nutrition, physical activity, and environmental responsibility, submitting photo reports on the “Health Routes” platform. The submissions were evaluated by both the audience and a jury.
This year, particular attention was given to environmental issues. The “ECO Heroes” stage introduced participants to practical measures for protecting the environment, including waste sorting, resource conservation, and the use of eco-friendly materials.
