Uzbekistan concerned over North Korea’s nuclear tests

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Republic of Uzbekistan expresses concern with regard to holding by the People’s Democratic Republic of Korea of the nuclear tests, which represent a serious threat to the regional and international security, Uzbek Foreign Ministry said in a statement. Uzbekistan, as an initiator of establishing the nuclear weapon free zone in Central Asia, stands for the nuclear-free status of the Korean Peninsula, resuming the process of the six-party talks on nuclear disarmament and resolving existing problems by peaceful diplomatic tools, the statement said.
