Uzbekistan citizens can observe a total lunar eclipse
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Citizens and guests of Uzbekistan will be able to observe a total lunar eclipse on the night of 27-28 July. A rare astronomical phenomenon can be observed throughout the country.
According to the Astronomical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, the eclipse will begin at 11:24 pm Tashkent time.
Unlike the solar eclipse, when parts of the Sun’s disk is not visible, during the lunar eclipse the Moon remains fully visible. As the shadow moves toward the moon, it will turn a reddish-brown color.
The moon will completely come out of the shade at 3:19 on 28 July. The duration of the full phase will be 1 hour 43 minutes. To fully go through the earth’s shadow, the moon will spend almost 4 hours.
