Uzbekistan Calls for Immediate De-escalation of Conflict Between Israel and Iran
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan has issued an official statement expressing deep concern over Israel’s military operation against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The statement urges all parties involved to exercise maximum restraint, immediately cease hostilities, and return to political and diplomatic means of resolving the conflict. The Foreign Ministry emphasized the alarming risk of further escalation, which could potentially develop into a large-scale regional confrontation.
Uzbekistan reaffirmed its commitment to the principles of regional stability and declared its readiness to support international efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and preventing further deterioration of the situation.
It is worth recalling that on June 13, Israel launched a series of strikes on targets in Iran, including nuclear facilities. According to Israeli authorities, the operation aimed to neutralize a threat to the very existence of the Jewish state. The attack resulted in the deaths of three senior Iranian military commanders and six nuclear energy specialists. In retaliation, Iran launched over a hundred drones and vowed "severe retribution" against Israel.
