The publication said that some 1.3 million square meters of habitation were launched in rural areas. The growth rate was 5.5% year-on-year.
The state bodies said that within the programme on construction of individual houses on standard projects in rural areas due to preferential loans and population fund, lands were allocated to construction of blocks of houses. Contractors were also selected. The preliminary fees for construction worth 355 billion soums were formed.
The volume of carried out works by contractors in the first quarter of 2013 made up 137.8 billion soums. The capital investments for 3.2 billion soums were used for construction of water supply at newly constructed blocks of houses in rural areas.
Some 157 enterprises on production of construction materials with use of local raw materials and components were launched or modernized within the three months of 2013. The enterprises produce non-ore construction materials, doors and windows, gypsum products, aerated concrete products, etc.
