Uzbekistan boosts gold exports to US$9.9 billion
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In January–September 2025, Uzbekistan significantly increased its exports of non-monetary gold, according to the National Statistics Committee.
The value of gold exports reached US$9.9 billion, up 70.9% compared to the same period in 2024 (US$5.79 billion).
Gold’s share in the country’s total exports rose to 37.1%, compared with 28.9% in January–September last year, underscoring the key role of the precious metal in Uzbekistan’s foreign trade.
According to the National Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover reached US$59.8 billion in January–September 2025, exceeding the same period of 2024 by US$11.14 billion, or 22.9%.
Exports totaled US$26.68 billion, showing an increase of 33.3% year-on-year, while imports rose to US$33.11 billion, up 15.6% compared to the previous year.
