Uzbekistan Boosts Electrical Exports to Afghanistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Association “Uzeltekhsanoat” hosted a meeting with Afghan official dealers, entrepreneurs, and partners involved in the sale of Uzbek electrical engineering products.

Mirziyod Yunusov, Chairman of the Association, participated in the event. The discussions focused on prospects for further bilateral cooperation, including increasing exports, expanding trade volumes, and strengthening connections between entrepreneurs from both countries.

Special attention was given to the demonstration of the “Eltechlab” testing laboratory, where Afghan guests observed the processes of testing cable and wire products as well as household appliances.

The results of the cooperation indicate dynamic growth: exports of electrical engineering products to Afghanistan rose from approximately US$1 million in 2024 to US$6 million in 2025. In 2026, supply volumes are planned to increase several times, reflecting the significant potential of Uzbek products in the Afghan market.

Participants noted that this positive trend demonstrates the opportunity for further expansion of export potential and strengthening of bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
