Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Law signed by the President on 31 May 2022 introduced amendments and additions to a number of legislative acts.
According to the amendments made to the Law "On the Prosecutor’s Office", it is established that employees of the prosecutor’s office have the right to keep, carry and use service weapons and personal protective equipment in the manner prescribed by law (previously it was stated that they can only carry service weapons).
According to the amendments to the Code of Administrative Responsibility, it is established that the seizure or confiscation of firearms, hunting pneumatic weapons and ammunition acquired on paid terms cannot be applied to persons whose main source of livelihood is hunting.
Toughened administrative liability for violation of the rules of hunting and fishing, as well as the implementation of other types of use of wildlife.
At the same time, according to the amendments made to the law “On Weapons”, it is prohibited to donate civilian weapons and ammunition on the territory of Uzbekistan.
Citizens and employees of legal entities with special official duties undergo periodic medical examinations for the absence of contraindications to the possession of weapons.
The law also establishes lists of diseases or physical disabilities that are a contraindication to the possession of service and civilian weapons.
