Uzbekistan Backs Creation of Zangezur Transport Corridor

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan is among the first countries ready to support the creation of the Zangezur transport corridor, Presidential Foreign Policy Adviser Abdulaziz Kamilov said at the Global Baku Forum.

According to him, the project is viewed not only as a mechanism for strengthening security but also as a strategic factor that can enhance the competitiveness of regional partners.

Kamilov emphasized that Uzbekistan advocates the formation of a multi-level partnership system that includes transport routes ensuring connectivity between countries of East Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

In his view, the integration of these routes would help create a diversified network capable of strengthening the economic and transport-logistics security of the entire region.
