Uzbekistan attends session of WHO European Regional Committee
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
A delegation of Uzbekistan led by Minister of Health Anvar Alimov participated at the 65th session of the European regional committee of the World Health Organization in Vilnius (Lithuania) on 14-17 September 2015.
The participants discussed implementation of Health-2020 policy, strengthening health system in 2015-2020, fighting tobacco, physical activity of people, etc.
The Uzbek delegation held several meetings and negotiations with the officials of the health ministries of the WHO European Committee and international health organizations.
Within the event, the participants signed “Biennial Collaborative Agreement between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the WHO Regional Office on 2016-2017 years”. Uzbekistan and Lithuania signed the Agreement on cooperation in the field of health and medical science.
