Uzbekistan approves rules on sales of liquefied gas via exchanges

The new regulation was approved by joint resolution of the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance and the State committee on privatization, demonopolization and development of competition.

Norma.uz reported that the regulation will be effective to all organizations, which produce liquefied gas (hydrocarbon gas, consisting of fractions of propane-butane), as well as those organizations engaged in realization and purchase of liquefied gas via electronic exchange trades.

Only legal entities, residents of Uzbekistan, can only purchase gas. After purchase they have right to sell gas via exchange if they have necessary licenses. It is banned to export gas purchased via the exchange and purchased gas should be used only within Uzbekistan.

The document regulated all issues related to determining of the volume of gas sales, order of exchange trades with gas, signing of agreement, fixing price for gas, etc.
