Uzbekistan Approves Rules for Organizing Tourist Trails in Eco-Areas
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has approved the Regulation on the Procedure for Organizing and Using Tourist Trails in Eco-Areas (Resolution No. 778).
The document governs the creation of trails in buffer zones of state reserves, national parks, nurseries, forest and hunting enterprises, as well as in mountainous and desert areas.
To establish a tourist trail, the trail operator must submit an application to the territorial division of the Tourism Committee, accompanied by a map of the trail, relevant documentation, and photo and video materials.
The application is reviewed within 10 business days, after which an on-site inspection is conducted to ensure compliance with the established requirements, and an inspection report is drawn up in two copies.
The documents are then forwarded to the Tourism Committee, which within 2 business days registers the trail in the Unified Register of Tourist Trails. Trails included in the register are officially considered organized.
Within one month after the trail is registered, the operator must install at the starting point a trail passport and map, along with informational signs for tourists.
The regulation aims to systematize tourist infrastructure in natural areas and ensure safe and environmentally sustainable tourism.
