Uzbekistan Approves Procedure for Editing Citizens’ Residential Registration Information
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Government of Uzbekistan has approved a procedure for editing information on citizens’ places of residence and individuals registered at a property address.
The corresponding administrative regulation was adopted by Resolution No. 38 on 30 January 2026, and governs the provision of the state service for making corrections to such data.
According to the document, the service is provided in two areas: issuing an updated registration record based on a citizen’s request to correct inaccurate residence information, and issuing a corrected certificate of persons registered at an address upon request of the property owner.
Responsibility for this service lies with the Department of Migration and Personalization under the Ministry of Internal Affairs and its regional offices.
Applications can be submitted in person at the authorized body or a public services center, as well as through the electronic services portal EPIGU (my.gov.uz).
Applications are reviewed within three working days. After verification and confirmation, the information is updated in the system with a QR code, and the applicant receives a notification on the same day.
