Uzbekistan and USA discussexport control issues

During the meeting, the American side was informed about the ongoing work to improve the national legislation of Uzbekistan in the field of export control, including development of the list of export control facilities, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Trade said.

With the purpose of acquainting the specialists of the republic with the latest changes in the sphere of trade in strategic goods, the American side expressed readiness to hold seminars with involvement of technical experts, who under the EXBS program can assist in development of national legislation. The Uzbek side supported this proposal.

Also, representatives of EXBS were provided with information on ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan in the field of export control, in particular, development of a draft regulatory and legal act approving the national list of export control objects in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Export Control."

The project is being developed with the participation of the Sanoatgeocontechnazorat, the Ministry of Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with other interested agencies.
