Uzbekistan and UKEF Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Finance Priority Projects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 26 February, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, met with Tim Reed, Chief Executive Officer of UK Export Finance (UKEF).

During the talks, the parties discussed the economic reforms underway in Uzbekistan aimed at improving the investment climate and strengthening the role of the private sector in supporting sustainable economic growth.

Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed, establishing the use of UKEF’s financial instruments to implement priority infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan.
