Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 27 February 2025, a video conference was held between the Director of the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mansurbek Olloyorov, and the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Turkmenistan, Mukhammedseiit Silapov.

During the discussion, the parties exchanged views on pressing issues in social protection and explored prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation. The Turkmen side was provided with an overview of Uzbekistan’s ongoing efforts to support socially vulnerable groups, the achievements made, and the initiatives planned.

As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to collaborate in several key areas, including the development of a social services system at the mahalla level, improving assistance to those in need, enhancing mechanisms for caring for individuals requiring constant support, and exchanging expertise in rehabilitating people with disabilities. Particular attention was given to the digitalization of the social sector to improve accessibility and streamline service delivery.

The Director of the Agency invited the Turkmen Minister of Labor and Social Protection to visit Uzbekistan to gain firsthand insight into the projects being implemented and to continue in-depth discussions. The meeting took place in an atmosphere of openness and constructive dialogue, reflecting a spirit of businesslike and friendly cooperation.
