Uzbekistan and Türkiye Successfully Complete Employee Exchange Program in Privatization Sector
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Agency for Management of State Assets of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Privatization Administration of the Republic of Türkiye have successfully completed a temporary employee exchange program conducted from September to October 2025, the Agency’s press service reported.
The program, based on a signed Memorandum of Understanding, allowed specialists from both countries to study best practices in managing state assets, digitalizing privatization processes, and improving corporate governance at state-owned enterprises.
From September 14 to 29, Uzbek agency staff visited Türkiye (Ankara and Istanbul), where they examined mechanisms for transparent privatization, the operations of the Competition Commission and the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, as well as legislation on privatization and practices in managing state-owned enterprises.
The next stage involved a visit by a delegation from Türkiye’s Privatization Administration to Uzbekistan from October 13 to 22.
During their stay, the delegation studied the legal and regulatory framework, the E-Auksion system, digital asset management processes, corporate governance reforms, and the implementation of a KPI system.
A final meeting with the Agency’s leadership summarized the results of the exchange and identified directions for further cooperation. Both parties agreed to continue training programs and experience-sharing initiatives in 2026, enhance specialist qualifications, and strengthen bilateral ties.
The employee exchange program represented an important step in reinforcing economic, scientific, and cultural relations between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, as well as in applying advanced international practices in state asset management and privatization.
