Uzbekistan and Türkiye Strengthen Strategic Cooperation in Agriculture

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and Türkiye continue to expand their strategic partnership in the agricultural sector.

During an official working visit to Türkiye, Shokhrukh Akramov, Head of the Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, held meetings with leadership from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Türkiye.

The discussions focused on developing bilateral cooperation, exchanging expertise, implementing investment projects, and expanding scientific and technical collaboration. Special attention was given to livestock and seed production, as well as the introduction of advanced technologies in agriculture.

The Uzbek delegation also met with Kamer Erturan Ibrishim, Deputy General Director of the General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises of Türkiye (TIGEM), and Dr. Fatih Ozdemir, Deputy Director of the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policy (TAGEM).

The parties discussed the exchange of best practices, implementation of joint initiatives, technology transfer, and the development of scientific programs.

The meetings concluded with an agreement to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, expand research activities, introduce innovative solutions into practice, and develop a joint program for technology transfer in agriculture.
