Uzbekistan and Türkiye Discuss Expanding Trade Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 12 March 2026, Alisher Shaykhov, advisor to the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, held a working meeting with a delegation from the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) led by Global Business Development Manager Özkan Altuntaş.

Founded in 1993, the Turkish Exporters Assembly unites 27 economic sectors, 61 exporters’ unions, and more than 150,000 companies, forming a key component of Türkiye’s national export strategy.

During the talks, both sides discussed ways to further develop trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, increase the volume of mutual exports and imports, and strengthen direct contacts between entrepreneurs from the two countries.

Participants also exchanged views on the organizational aspects of the upcoming visit of the Turkish delegation to Uzbekistan, scheduled for 6–9 April 2026, under the auspices of the Turkish Exporters Assembly.
