Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The leadership of the Agency for Strategic Development and the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination met to discuss areas of possible mutually beneficial cooperation. This was reported by the press service of the Agency for Strategic Development.
The focus is on several areas of potential partnership. From Turkey, this is advisory assistance in developing a strategy for the international branding of Uzbekistan and the exchange of experience in matters of strategic planning and development.
“Uzbekistan is a historically important partner for Turkey. At the present stage of the country's development, especially in the last five years, the interest of Turkish companies in Uzbekistan has grown many times over. And this is obviously the result of the reforms that have been implemented in Uzbekistan in recent years.
I think that the areas we are talking about today should be the starting point for our cooperation. On the way of forming a positive image of Turkey in the world, achieving the strategic goals of socio-economic growth, we have made mistakes in our history that may have delayed the final result.
Therefore, you have a good opportunity, using the best foreign experience, to achieve your goals much faster and more efficiently,” Cemalettin Tuney, Representative Director of TIKA in Uzbekistan.
Another item on the agenda of the meeting is the issue of technical and personnel assistance to analyze the existing regulatory impact assessment system in Uzbekistan, develop recommendations and draft regulations aimed at improving it.
At the meeting, a number of other issues were discussed, on which the parties plan to start cooperation.
